• You have an ISP, but it is not renewing your contract. You need a new one for the Internet to your office. What speed do you need?
• The computers and printers are in working order and do not need to be replaced. How do you upgrade them from the legacy token ring network to a current standard? What item needs to be added to the desktop?
• The overall budget is $125,000 for all equipment, services, etc.
• You must determine IEEE standard networking design and protocols to be used (choice of IPv4 or IPv6, justify your choice)
• Your proposal must also identify and justify at least 2 different VLANs you plan to implement.
• When it comes to the office’s overall layout, the desktops are in rows with 50 computers per row (so 8 rows total).
• The servers are all located in a server room, and this is where the current ISP drop is situated. The 2 printers are situated against the walls, one in the North and South of the floor.
• What networking equipment do you need? You need to createa wired or a wireless network and justify your decision. Routers, switches, access points, cabling, media, etc., make it your own and create something exciting but make sure it works.
•The VoIP phones are currently using power bricks to power them, located at each person’s desk. Figure out a way to use the VoIP phones without the power brick and implement it.

TOPIC PROPOSAL: I work for the US Department of Agriculture as an intern over the summer and winter breaks
I work for the US Department of Agriculture as an intern over the summer and winter breaks from school. A current event that has been of the utmost importance at the USDA is one that I believe that I can give more insight on. The issue at hand is that after the recent turn of presidency there has been a new act that has been put into place. The Biden administration started the “American Rescue Plan” where socially disadvantaged farmers would be forgiven of their loans. This means that African-American, Native American, Hispanic, Asian American, and Pacific Islander farmers would be provided with loan forgiveness of 120% of their federal Farm Service Agency loan balance as of 1/1/21. This had become a problem because the basis of which the USDA would declare the ethnicity of the farmers would be based on a form that the farmer personally filled out before the American Rescue Plan was public information. The form in question also roughly states “Stating race or ethnicity is optional and in no way will affect the loan making process.” (This print was put there due to a different act that sought to end the denying of loans due to racial discrimination in the past). This means that farmers may have skipped the optional question on the form and are not having their loan forgiven even though they are minorities. Another problem with this act is that non-minorities saw it as racist and discriminatory that other farmers were having their loans forgiven just because of their skin color. This led to an uproar in the agriculture industry which led to angry farmers coming into our offices with questions about their financial status everyday.
I believe this would be a great topic for my research because I work for the USDA and we have had to try to fix this problem locally since the start of 2021. Also, primarily Caucasian farmers who are technically Native American felt that they were cheated out of loan forgiveness. I am technically Native American as well and I feel for the farmers that could not get the loan forgiveness due to a technicality.

Use the information in chapter five on how to structure a group proposal. Take time to review the proposals for groups in school or community settings presented in Chapter 10 and Chapter 11. Search for “substance abuse counseling activities” or some variation thereof and find a group activity suitable for a counseling group in a treatment facility. If you have an idea already you may use that. Create a group proposal and submit it on BlackBoard. This is a proposal for a single group activity. In addition to describing that activity and addressing the rationale behind it, you are to describe your imaginary group. How do you screen them? What characteristics would group members have? Overall what techniques will you use in your groups? What evaluation methods might you employ? I may give you feedback that may cause you to submit this assignment more than once. However, once your proposal is approved that will be the group that you facilitate for your second group. Lack of understanding
Lack of trust in management
Differing assessments of the need for change

Prompt for Essay on Twelfth Night:
To write this paper, you will need to view the Globe production of Twelfth Night, which is available via the following link on the library’s website:
Write a three-to-five-page essay that answers all of the following questions:
How do issues of gender identity and alternative sexualities register differently in your reading of Twelfth Night than in your viewing of the Globe production described by James Bulman in “Bearding the Queen: Male Cross-Dressing at the New Globe” (Shakespearean Performance: New Studies. Ed. Frank Occhiogrosso. Madison and Teaneck: Farleigh Dickinson University Press, 2008: 74-91 – posted on CANVAS as “Bulman article”)? According to Bulman, how does this all-male production differ from a “traditional” version, in which men play men and women play women? Why do you agree or disagree with Bulman’s thesis? Bulman does not consider the possibility of trans people (trans men or trans women) performing in such a production. How might their participation support or undercut his thesis? If you were producing a version of this play, how would you cast it with regards to gender (traditional, all-male, all-female, cross-gender, some mixture of the above)? What factors would impact this decision?
This essay will be graded pass/fail. You have only one chance to submit your paper. Neither the Professor nor the IAs will preview your paper before you submit it. You will NOT be able to revise the paper if you fail. If you fail, you lose a full-letter grade for the semester. To pass you must observe the following rules:
Papers must be submitted as MS Word documents on Canvas by 5 pm on Wednesday, March 23. No late or Emailed essays will be accepted without documentation of hospitalization or incarceration.
You must answer ALL of the questions in the above prompt, incorporating these answers into well-structured paragraphs.
The title Twelfth Night (whether describing the play or the production) must be italicized (not underlined or put in quotation marks) every time you use it within the body of your essay. With each such usage you must make it clear whether you are referring to the printed play or the Globe production.
You must quote directly from the play and the Bulman article in your essay, following the quotation guidelines below.
You must quote directly from the play in your essay. This means from the written text of Twelfth Night, Broadview Anthology of British Literature Edition, ISBN 978-1-55481-036-9. For quotations shorter than four verse lines, use diagonal slashes to indicate breaks between lines:
In his first address to Hamlet, Claudius says, “Tis sweet and commendable in your nature, Hamlet/To give these mourning duties to your father” (1.2.87-88).
When you quote prose from a play, no slashes are necessary. You can recognize prose by the fact that, in prose, every sentence begins with a capital letter, but not every line on the page. Even when quoting prose, you should provide act, scene, and line numbers:
In a moment of introspection Falstaff observes, “I never prospered since I forswore myself at primero. Well, if my wind were but long enough to say my prayers, I would repent” (4.5.95-97).
For quotations of four lines or longer, use the block quotation format. The lines should be arranged as they appear in the text if you are quoting verse and arranged as a paragraph if you are quoting prose:
In his first address to Hamlet, Claudius says:
Tis sweet and commendable in your nature, Hamlet
To give these mourning duties to your father,
But you must know your father lost a father,
That father lost, lost his, and the survivor bound
In filial obligation for some term
To do obsequious sorrow. (1.2.87-92)
In a moment of introspection Falstaff observes:
If it should come to the ear of the court how I have been transformed, and how my transformation hath been washed and cudgeled, why would melt me out of my fat drop by drop and liquor fishermen’s boots with me. I warrant they would whip me with their fine wits till I were as crestfallen as a dried pear. I never prospered since I forswore myself at primero. Well, if my wind were but long enough to say my prayers, I would repent. (4.5.89-95)
In either case you must indicate act, scene, and line numbers in your parenthetical citation, as per the examples above.
Do not use more than one block quotation in any paper this semester. Do not use a block quotation longer than eight lines in any paper this semester.
You must also quote from the James Bulman essay in your paper. All quotations and paraphrases should include a parenthetical citation that lists the page number and, if necessary, the author’s name. There is no need to provide a Works Cited page unless you employ sources other than Bulman and the written text of Twelfth Night.
As James C. Bulman notes, “By 1999, the idea that gender is performative rather than innate had circulated widely” (75).
The Globe production exploited a growing sense in contemporary culture “that gender is performative rather than innate” (Bulman 75).k

PLEASE READ THIS AND FOLLOW ALL STEPS ITS WORTH ALOT OF MY FINAL GRADE
Advertising is good for rhetorical analysis since the purpose of advertising is innately persuasive. When doing rhetorical analysis, there is more than just recognizing that the purpose is in selling something.
For the following exercises:
Identify the Rhetorical Triangle: ethos, pathos, logos.
Identify the Rhetorical Situation: purpose, audience, genre, stance, media/design
Consider the critical implications of each text. For example, while a specific audience might appreciate a text, how might the same text offend or possibly oppress another audience? Critical thinking answers the “so what?” question; it addresses not just what the text is doing (such as selling a product) but also what a text might mean.
Analyzing Advertising: Images
Analyzing Advertising: Commercials
The following commercials are rather dated—purposely—as it will prompt a close watch on the first view, as they have not been viewed as recently as other, more popular advertising.
Dominoes: Noid Your Call
Microsoft: I’m a PC and I’m 4 and a half, the latest cute Ads from Microsoft
Budget: funny TV commercial
True condoms: condom commercial
Visual Analysis of Websites
The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate the variety of ways visual rhetoric is used when addressing different audiences.
Review the following three websites: The Washington Post, Slate and The Root. The same company owns all three news sources but have very different audiences. For this exercise, compare and contrast the similarities and differences.
Some things to consider when drafting a response:
Who is the target audience for each site? How can you tell?
How does each website meet audience expectations?
How do you see yourself inhabiting multiple audience spaces?
Think about the different websites you read as a way to determine which audiences you belong to. How are they similar? How do they differ?
What do you notice about the way each site looks?
What colors do the site author’s use?
Which site has the most words?
Which one has the most pictures?
How is the layout different for each site? How is it the same?
What content is similar on each site? What content is different?
Do you see differences in the number of stories that are persuasive or informative?
What do you notice about the advertisements on each site? Do the advertisements match a certain target audience?
